Huntington Beach Cleanup Day is scheduled for this Saturday, June 2nd, beginning at 9:00 am. Six area beaches in the Township are scheduled to be cleaned by volunteers. Come on down and help our community to protect our vital shoreline environment. You'll meet many like minded people and have some fun too! Jim Romanie FSO-MS/EP US Coast Guard Auxiliary 22-1 will conduct a “Sea Partners" presentation at Centerport Beach after the cleanup.The Sea Partners Campaign is an environmental education and outreach program focused on communities at large to develop community awareness of maritime pollution issues and to improve compliance with marine environmental protection laws and regulations. Sea Partners messages include:The effects of oil, hazardous chemicals, waste and debris on the marine environment.How marine environmental protection laws and regulations apply to various marine users.Ways groups and individuals can take action to protect the marine environment.
