Among the offerings will be cultural exhibits, live performances of music, song and dance, children’s workshops in arts and crafts, and a dazzling cultural costume parade. There will also be corporate and small business vendors, art exhibits, a multinational food court and raffle drawings to benefit nonprofit organizations.

“We are delighted to be ‘globalizing’ our community and showcasing so many varied cultures from different parts of the world,” says Dr. Suiv Lee, mathematics professor at Farmingdale College, who’s chairing the festival along with co-chairs Prafulba Vaghela and Karen Bomzer. “And we’re grateful to our sponsors and supporters who share our vision to promote cultural awareness and appreciation while celebrating our differences and similarities.”

Dr. W. Hubert Keen, president of Farmingdale State College, said, “The more our students know about other cultures, the more they will be ready to compete in a global marketplace as well as to appreciate diversity. We are pleased to continue to sponsor events such as this.”

“One of the many factors making Huntington’s cultural community such a strong and vibrant part of our Town is its rich diversity and multinational character.  As ‘Long Island’s Cultural Capital,’ we’re delighted to be a co-sponsor of this Multinational Cultural Festival in celebration of our region’s cultural diversity,” says Supervisor Frank Petrone.

Also participating in the festival will be the Leadership Huntington Foundation and the Huntington Chamber of Commerce. The Hicksville Chamber of Commerce will also be participating.
