This Weekend: Lighthouse Centennial

Huntington Lighthouse celebration tops list of weekend events.

1. Lighthouse Centennial Celebration: Head to Gold Star Beach on Saturday to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Huntington Lighthouse. The event, which runs from 9 a.m. until noon, includes a cake cutting ceremony, courtesy of Reinwald's Bakery, and refreshments.

2. Benefit For Firefighter Kevin O'Tool: The is recognizing a local hero Saturday with a benefit concert featuring Jimmy Kenny and The Pirate Beach Band covering Zac Brown Band, Jimmy Buffett and many other favorites. Doors open at 7 p.m. Admission $20.

3. Children's Casting Call: Dream Makers Performing Arts will be casting kids 12-17 for roles in "13 The Musical." Auditions held on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Saturday at noon. Show to rehearse one to two nights per week throughout the summer for final production in September. Be prepared to sing eight to 16 bars acapella.

4. Summer Camp Cinema Arts Film Festival: The Cinema Arts Centre will present "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Jurasic Park" from 10:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Saturday. Admission $13.  

5. Teen Show: In , an all-teen cast brings to life another Bare Bones theatrical treat by enacting nine vignettes that explore the inner lives of animals.  Sometimes sad, sometimes funny, sometimes devastating, this innovative show is NOT children's theater. $15

Maybe 4 for $100 or 2 for $60. They were looked at by a store owner who wanted to purchase and sell in her store for $50 each. They are very cute, very trendy :)

I would love to become part of the Huntington Chamber of Commerce. However, for a new business itRead More is costly and may not fit into every new business owners budget. May I suggest a provisional 1-year membership at a reduced cost. Once successful the provisional members can give back by supporting other new members.
