Happy Friday! It’s Columbus Day weekend, which means the kids are off on Monday (if you’re lucky, you are too!). If you are looking to head out, relax and enjoy local live entertainment right here in Huntington this weekend, you’ve come to the right place. Click on the links below for more information on each listing. As always, if you have a live entertainment event you’d like to see posted, let us know in the comments! Here are a few to start your weekend off on the right ‘note’:

Oct. 7

Huntington Public Library: New Horizons String Orchestra rehearsal; the public is invited to sit in and listen on Friday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.   

Honu: Live music during corporate happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Grasso’s: James Weidman Trio at 7:30 p.m.

Dix Hills Performing Arts Center: Dramatic Theater: “Questions about Art, Friendship, and Forgiveness” at 7:30 p.m.

: Come and listen to an evening of Opera and Chamber Music at 7:30 p.m.

John W. Engeman Theater: Experience the great romantic tragedy, “Camelot,” with lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Fredericke Loewe. Winner of four Tony Awards. Showtime at 8 p.m.

Karaoke Fridays with Dix Hills resident DJ Patty, from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Black & Blue: Yellow Fly at 10 p.m.

Tutto Pazzo: Disco music and dancing at 10 p.m.

Finley’s: DJ starting at 11:30 p.m.

: Youth Theater Series presents “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” at 11 a.m.

John W. Engeman Theater: Experience the great romantic tragedy, “Camelot,” with lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Fredericke Loewe. Winner of four Tony Awards. Showtimes at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Grasso’s: Ernie Byrd & Friends with Dave LaLama on piano and Noriko Ueda on bass at 7:30 p.m.

Dix Hills Performing Arts Center: Dramatic Theater: “And Miss Reardon Drinks a Little” at 7:30 p.m.

The Paramount: Blue Oyster Cult at 8 p.m.

Black & Blue: Six Gun Five at 10 p.m.

Tutto Pazzo: Disco music and dancing at 10 p.m.

Finley’s: Live music at 11:30 p.m.

Oct. 9

: Youth Theater Series presents, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” at 10:30 a.m.

Grasso’s: Jazz Brunch with Joe Carter & Wayne Sabella at 12 p.m.

Huntington Social: Jazz Brunch featuring a “Build-your-own Bloody Mary Bar,” from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Prime: Jazz Brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Huntington Public Library: Folk Music Society of Huntington hosts a free folk jam from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Dix Hills Performing Arts Center: Dramatic Theater: “Questions about Art, Friendship, and Forgiveness” at 2 p.m.

South Huntington Public Library: Eight Strings and a Whistle performs, featuring flutist Suzanne Gilchrest, violist Ina Litera and cellist Matthew Goeke. Begins at 2:30 p.m.
