Richard Belzer Coming to Cinema Arts Centre

Actor bringing 'Munch' character and conspiracy theories to Huntington on Oct.10.

Actor Richard Belzer will bring his comedic talents and clips of his TV character Det. John Munch to the Cinema Arts Centre on Oct.10.

Belzer will show his favorite episode of Law & Order: SVU to screen, along with clips featuring the Munch character and a sketch comedy short.  He'll engage in conversation with the audience and sign copies of his book,"DEAD WRONG: Straight Facts on the Country’s Most Controversial Cover-Ups."

Interviewed by CAC special projects curator Jud Newborn, Belzer will appear at 7:30 p.m. at Cinema Arts Centre.

Belzer has been playing the role of conspiracy-theorist detective John Munch for 13 seasons in the hit NBC show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He has   played “John Munch” on a record-setting 11 different television series for 20 consecutive years–including Homicide, Law & Order, The X-Files, Sesame Street, The Wire, Arrested Development and 30 Rock.

In his new book, Belzer and his co-author, investigative journalist David Wayne, argue that the U.S. government has faked the suicides or mysterious deaths of politicians, celebrities and government figures, including Marilyn Monroe, Martin Luther King Jr., John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy and others.
