Paying for College, Holiday Shopping

High school students and their parents are invited to attend a college financial aid planning session today at the Huntington Public Library. From 7-8:30 pm, Alan Tanenblatt from College & Career Planning Consultants, Inc. will discuss who qualifies for financial aid, what funds are available, what forms need to be completed and everything else that you need to learn how, when and where to apply. Temple Beth El of Huntington is presenting a special educational program about hereditary women's cancers today at 7:30 pm. Alison Mishkit, M.D. will provide important information about breast and ovarian cancers. The event, to be held at the synagogue, is free and open to all. Only two more days to cash in on your excess Halloween candy by donating during Huntington Bay Dental's Candy Buy-Back program. Children can bring in their unopened Halloween candy and they will receive one dollar for every one-pound of treats. The candy and other supplies will be donated to American military troops through the "Leave No Marine Behind Project".
