Oheka Castle Invites the 30+ Crowd to Jazz Bar Night

A large turnout is expected at Oheka Castle for Tuesday night's 30-plus event.

On Tuesday evening, Oheka Castle will host the latest installment of its Summer Jazz Bar Night, where guests over 30 years old are invited to the estate to watch a performance by Freddy Martin and the Martinis of the New York Orchestra.

For the past year, Oheka Castle has been presenting lounge nights for the over-30 crowd, averaging about one show per month. Previous shows have proven to be popular, and organizers are eagerly anticipating Tuesday night's turnout.

"We don't know what it's going to be like," said Oheka's marketing director Nancy Melius. "Last month, we were expecting 200, and 400 showed up."

Tuesday's event begins at 6 p.m. and is limited to guests over the age of 30. The age requirement is there because, as Melius explained, "We figure the younger set already has lots of things to do."

Cover charge for the event is $10, and appetizers will be provided, along with a cash bar. Melius said that guests are asked to dress appropriately, with no jeans, sneakers, or flip-flops; men are also encouraged to wear jackets. VIP tables are available, starting at $250, Melius added.

"Hopefully, it's a nice night," Melius said. "Guests are free to wander the estate, and we'll have lots of room to dance."
