Oh Yes! Ohno Comes To Book Revue

Olympic speed skating champion Apolo Ohno promotes his book Friday in Huntington.

When Apolo Ohno comes to the Book Revue in Huntington on Friday night, there are likely to be as many Olympic speed skating fans waiting in line to meet him, as there are "Dancing With The Stars" fans.

As an American short track speed skating competitor, he is an eight-time medallist, and the most decorated American Winter Olympic athlete of all time.

In 2007, he traded in skates for dancing shoes, when he competed in and won on "Dancing With The Stars", adding a mirror-ball trophy to his two gold, two silver and four bronze Olympic medals. He was such a fan favorite on the show, that he and partner Julianne Hough had two of the top 10 all time favorite dances in a countdown on the show this past Monday night.

Ohno's visit to Huntington will mark the beginning of a tour to promote his new book, "Zero Regrets: Be Greater Than Yesterday". In it, he talks about overcoming challenges and facing your fears, not just in sports, but in every aspect of your life.

He shares some of his personal stories, including those of his relationship with his father, a single parent who he credits with setting him on the right path in life, and encourages readers to "live a life with zero regrets."

Appearing on "The Today Show" Wednesday morning, Ohno explained the books message, "It's not always about the medal chase…the journey along the way is what I truly enjoy," he said. "That's what I want the reader to take away from the book."

Ohno will speak about and sign his book at 7 p.m. Expect a big crowd, and get there early.
