Native Day at the Conklin Barn

Kids learn about artifacts, games and food.

The Conklin Barn was the setting for the third annual Native American Day last week in Huntington.

Presented by The Huntington Historical Society, the  event featured a  lecture by Dr. Al Sforza and a display of artifacts by Rex Metcalf, along with games and such activities as face painting and playing with toys.

The children in attendance sat on the ground and learned about the Indian history in Huntington, and engaged in fun activities such as face painting and playing with Indian themed toys.
