Huntington Poet Is Guest of Honor

George Wallace, poet-in-residence at the Walt Whitman Birthplace, reads his work in England.

Huntington poet George Wallace was the guest of honor at an event in Ulverston, England, last week.

Wallace, who is the poet-in-residence at the Walt Whitman Birthplace and a contributor to Patch, read from some of his works, the North-West Evening Mail reported.

Wallace was named Suffolk County's first poet laureate, in 2003.
