'Hot Lips' Coming to Cinema Arts

Sally Kellerman, the famed “Hot Lips Houlihan” of M*A*S*H, will appear in person on Sunday May 5 at the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington.

Ms. Kellerman will attend a special screening of Robert Altman’s classic black comedy, where she appeared as the original Major Margaret “Hot Lips Houlihan” opposite Elliott Gould, Donald Sutherland and Robert Duvall. The showing of Altman’s iconic, wildly successful 1970 comedy M*A*S*H will be followed by interview, Q & A, reception and book signing of her memoir 'READ MY LIPS: Stories of a Hollywood Life' on Sunday, May 5 at 2 p.m.

Reserve Now for Library's Special Annual Luncheon.

Reservations are now being accepted for the Friends of the Port Washington Public Library’s 44th annual Richard D. Whittemore Book & Author Luncheon on Friday, May 17, at 11 a.m. at the North Hills Country Club in Manhasset.

The featured authors at the luncheon will be noted historian David Nasaw (The Patriarch: The Remarkable Life and Turbulent Times of Joseph P. Kennedy) and New York Times bestselling author Will Schwalbe (The End of Your Life Book Club). Novelist and screenwriter Susan Isaacs, a Port Washington resident, returns as program moderator.

Nasaw's riveting biography was one of The New York Times' 10 Best Books of 2012. Schwalbe's bestselling memoir and book club favorite was one of Amazon's Top Five "Best Books of 2012."

Music's Most Famous Love Triangle
The songs of Robert and Clara Schumann and Johannes Brahms will be performed by Soprano Kelley Nassief, international concert and opera artist, on Sundy April 28, at 4 p.m. at Old First Church in Huntington.
 
She will be assisted by pianist Frances C. Roberts, Conductor of the Long Island Philharmonic Chorus, the Long Island Masterworks and the Long Island Choral Festival.
