Write to the Point (Teen Writing Workshop)

What kind of story do you want to write? A plot-driven thriller, one with twists and turns and a surprise ending — like the work of Stephen King? Or maybe something that’s spare, rugged, and epic, like the prose of Hemingway? Or maybe what you want to write is like the maddening prose of Edgar Allen Poe. Through writing activities focused on plot, dialogue, characterization, and tempo, teens will toy with words and experiment with style as they work to develop a unique narrative voice. Come write your heart out for three straight hours.
