The winner of the popular television show "The Next Food Network Star" will speak about and sign "Food Network Star: The Official Insider’s Guide to America’s Hottest Food Show" at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17.
And that winner is ..... Jeff Mauro. He will be at Book Revue along with finalist Whitney Chen. Mauro will host the Food Network's upcoming new show "The Sandwich King."
Mauro is a private chef at the Chicago corporate headquarters for a large mortgage company. He graduated from California's Hollywood Kitchen Academy and has worked in the food industry in various roles, including line cook, caterer and chef instructor. He pursued a career as an entertainer and comedian in Los Angeles, then returned to Chicago to spend time doing what he loves: cooking. Jeff's down-to-earth personality coupled with his comic relief make a great combo in the kitchen.
