There will be a teen poetry reading and award reception from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Walt Whitman Birthplace for the winning poems that will be displayed on HART buses.
Teenspeak and town of Huntington Public Arts Initiative present: "Poetry For the Hart," a teen poetry contest featuring the placards of winning poems on the Huntington Area Rapid Transit buses, in The Long Islander and on the town of Huntington's web site.
The award reception will be held in the Interpretive Center. Robin and The Lady Poet of Urban Word will be featured.
