Long Island Writers Guild Reads

Join the Long Island Writers' Guild as members read some of Long Island's best prose and poetry. The reading will be followed by an OPEN MIC open to the general public.

Cultivating literary excellence since 1993, The Long Island Writers' Guild continues to be dedicated to the development of each writer's voice and talent, and to the collection of literary treasures in anthologies.

In free, informal workshops, including a writers' workshop held at Book Revue on the second Monday of each month, The Long Island Writers' Guild members guide and encourage each other to develop stylistically, in a supportive and educational environment.  Each workshop offers writers the chance to learn writing strategies and tricks, to dabble with inventive writing exercises, to present their works-in-progress, and most importantly, to have fun.
