Author Paul Wortman at Book Revue

Local author Paul Wortman, PhD, discusses his new book, Think Jung! How I Found Meaning in My Life: A Memoir.

This book contains a series of memoirs illustrating the application of Carl Jung's concepts to understanding the meaning of major events in the author's life. The concepts are explained as they are applied to significant experiences. In addition, major dreams are presented and analyzed from a Jungian perspective along with illustrative poems. Readers should be able to use this information in examining and finding meaning in their own lives.

Paul M. Wortman was born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated from Yale University and then received a Ph.D. in psychology from Carnegie-Mellon University. He has taught at Duke and Northwestern Universities, The University of Michigan--Ann Arbor, and Stony Brook University (SBU) where he is an Emeritus Professor. He currently teaches courses on Jungian psychology in the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at SBU.
