Lauren Ruotolo at Book Revue

Author Lauren Ruotolo will speak about and sign her new book, "Unstoppable in Stilettos."

At 4 feet, 2 inches tall, Ruotolo's preferred method of transportation is her stiletto heels, which she utilizes to do everything from hailing cabs in mid-town Manhattan to traipsing along the streets of exotic places like Greece and Turkey.

As a girl with a rare genetic disease, McCune-Albright Syndrome, Ruotolo beat the odds of the wheel chair-bound life she was predicted to have to become an adventurous, successful director of entertainment promotions for Hearst Magazine.

In her new book, Ruotolo offers her advice as she rose to the top, wearing nothing but stilettos, from a shoe collection that beats Carrie Bradshaw. Living tall in a small world, she offers encouragement for any woman who is finding her way.

Ruotolo recently helped produce E!'s Style Network show about the inner workings at Marie Claire fashion magazine and is working on two one-hour specials with Scripps Networks for Esquire and The Food Network magazine. She joined Hearst Magazines from TV Guide Magazine, where she was the director of consumer marketing and promotions and created the first-ever U.S. newsstand promotion with a CD on the cover.
