Juried Still Life Exhibit at Main Street Petite Gallery

An exhibit of juried still life paintings will be on display 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays until Jan. 10 at the Huntington Art Council's Main Street Petite Gallery.

Featured artists include: Lisa Argentien, Don Auriemma, Christopher J. Brown, Elsie Callahan, Kenneth Cerreta, Louis Chicorelli, Christine Di Mauro, William A. dodge, Beth S. Goldberg, Anne Gunther, Maureen Hopper, Frances Ianarella, Susan Illions- Lee, Stan Jorgensen, Michael R. Kutzing, Antonia Layton, Celeste Mauro, Kathleen McArdle, Kevin W. McEvoy, Danna McIntyre, Marla Mencher, Donna Harlow-Moraff, Denis Ponsot, Brian Richardson, Patricia Rossi, Marie Sheehy-Walker, Mario Simeone, Edward Sterz, Angela Stratton and Saeed Ullah. An opening reception was held Dec. 3. 

Works also are being sought for the council's upcoming 9th annual juried portrait show, this year judged by Suzanne Young, who studied in Paris at the Academie de La Grande Chaumere, Cooper Union and Arts Students League in New York. She has exhibited at various galleries, including Heckscher Museum, received a National Merit Grant and teaches at the Art League of Long Island and the Pastels Only School in New York.

The portraits show will run March 3 - April 22. Works must be submitted for judging by Jan. 31.
