"We recognized the significance of this anniversary, both to the Huntington Historical Society and to the town of Huntington, and felt it was important to commemorate it with a special celebration," explained Director of Operations Claudia S. Fortunato-Napolitano.

Attendees will enjoy food, drinks, including a special Conklin Cocktail, music, and dancing! So put on your party dress, and get ready to dance the night away!

"A special display on the Conklin House and its history will be on view. In addition, we will have 'bring home' a Conklin chair that was once owned by George McKesson Brown for use at Coindre Hall," said Executive Coordinator Robert "Toby" Kissam.

The 40-room Coindre Hall is a 30,000-square-foot mansion in the style of a medieval French château. It also is celebrating its centennial this year -- Coindre Hall was constructed in 1912 for pharmaceutical magnate George McKesson Brown. It overlooks several acres of rolling land tha stretches down to the boathouse on the harbor, complete with a view of the Huntington Lighthouse, which also is 100 this year!
