Carducci String Quartet at Cinema Arts
The Carducci String Quartet will play at Cinema Arts Centre in the Sky Room at 8 p.m. Friday, April 8.
The group includes Matthew Denton and Michelle Fleming on violin, Eoin Schmidt-Martin on viola, and Emma Denton on cello.
They are recognized as one of Europe's top quartets and have played to acclaim and won competitions in Finland, Japan and America.

The evening's performance includes works by Mendelsohn and the Long Island premiere of "Insects in Amber," by Arlene Sierra, a work written for the quartet this year.
The cost is $20 members and $25 general public.
