Casting Call for Long Island TV Show

Long Islanders audition for 'Growing Up Gold Coast'

Long Islanders lined up Wednesday night for a chance to join the cast of "Growing Up Gold Coast,"an Island-based TV reality show.

Hosted by Chris Dunn, president of Lilly and Sophie Enterprises, he was joined by Jill Nicolini of Pix 11 News and Jim Kelly in a panel to judge the contestants.  They sat down each person auditioning in front of a camera and lights, and asked questions to get a summary of their background and what they have to offer.

Ultimately 8-10 cast members will be chosen, along with background and supporting cast.  The show was formerly known as "Long Island Life," but was recently changed to "Growing Up Gold Coast."  "We're looking for people who represent Long Island and are involved in the hot spots such as Huntington, The Hamptons and Long Beach.  We're looking for people with unique talents, personalities and backgrounds," said Dunn.  They bill the show as:  "Having the feel of 'Entourage,' and the amusing situations of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm.'
