Art League of LI Continues 45-Year-Old Craft Fair

Art in the Park Fine Art and Craft Fair returns to town June 2-3.

The Art League of Long Island’s Art in the Park Fine Art and Craft Fair will return to the scenic Heckscher Park in Huntington on Saturday, June 2 and Sunday, June 3.

The event is an Art League tradition that has attracted thousands of art lovers for 45 years.

The free craft fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, rain or shine.

The fair showcases the orginal work of about 70 artists and craftspeople who will be selling paintings, photographs, ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, woodwork, glasswork, wearable art, and more.  Prizes will be awarded to the top artists.

This year, radio station 94X, along with a panel of judges  will select Huntington’s First “Idol” through a talent competition. From video auditions, 10 finalists will perform separately at the event for their chance to claim the
title of Huntington Idol at Art in the Park on Saturday, June 2 from 1-3 p.m.

The event will also feature live art demonstrations by Art League instructors and live music throughout both days. A variety of delicious treats by on-site food vendors round out the experience. Raffles will run both days to benefit visual arts education programs at the Art League of Long Island.

The Art League of Long Island’s art school and gallery are located at
107 East Deer Park Road in Dix Hills.  For more information about this
event call (631) 462-5400 or visit www.artleagueli.org.
