Thousands of people turned out Sunday for the Huntington’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade – a tradition that is 80 years strong.
The festivities began at 2 p.m., as marching bands, scouts, community leaders and politicians from across the region paraded from New York Avenue to Main Street in Huntington.
Dominick Feeney Jr. served as this year’s grand marshal. A retired Town of Huntington employee, Feeney is the fourth member of his family to lead the parade, according to the Huntington Ancient Order of Hibernians, which hosted the parade.
