Lollipop Train Debuts at Pickle Fest

Old time Syosset attraction finds new life in Huntington.

A 1950s and 60s Syosset kiddie attraction found new life when it debuted at its new home Saturday.

The Lollipop train, which fell into disrepair after the Lollipop Farm petting zoo closed in 1967, was recently renovated by members of the Greenlawn-Centerport Historical Society. It made its inaugural journey for a new generation of children during the Society's annual pickle festival in Huntington.

Lollipop Farm was one of Syosset's main attractions from 1950 to 1967. Check out the attached photos of the renovated train in action as well as other sights from the 34th annual pickle festival.
