Update: As of 10:15 p.m., LIPA said power had been restored to all but about five customers.
A loss of power affecting about 50 customers in Halesite is expected to be fixed by later Wednesday evening, the Long Island Power Autority reported.
Earlier power outages were reported in Lloyd Harbor.
LIPA said "Due to high winds and heavy rain impacting our area we are currently experiencing scattered power outages across Long Island."
