1. Halloween Howler: Ghoulish drinks and "treats", silent horror films, prizes for top costumes and tons of Halloween fun. Saturday, 9 p.m. at Heckscher Park.

2. Halloweekend Pub and Crawl: Enjoy $2 drafts and 2 for 1 drinks at popular watering holes in Huntington on Friday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday, from 4 p.m. to. 11 p.m. To register go to Finley's of Huntington, one of the bars in on the crawl.

3. Pumpkin Park: Treat your family to Long Island’s Original Safe Trick or Treating Event at White Post Farms, 250 Old Country Rd. in Melville.

4. Halloween Bash At Coindre Hall: Head to the Chateau at Coindre Hall this All Hallows Eve for a nefarious night of mischievous merriment. Come with your creepily-clad kinsmen to celebrate this most eerie of evenings, and enjoy the following fiendish festivities Saturday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

5. The 5th Annual Howl-Ween: Corky’s Canine Costume Parade and Celebration will be held on Oct. 29 (rain date: Oct. 30) from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Main Street in Cold Spring Harbor.
