Tuesday's late-autumn storm draped a slushy coating of snow across Long Island, leading to many early dismissals at area schools.

But the extent of the snow really depended on what part of the Island you were on, with Nassau and Central Suffolk seeing more than an inch while eastern and shoreline areas got much, much less.
