The Huntington YMCA is looking to expand, adding a building dedicated to healthy living programs.
Eileen Knauer, executive director, said planning is in its early stages, but involves construction a new building occupied by outdoor basketball courts and pulling out of a secondary building near the Cinema Arts Centre.
Indoor basketball courts, running track and more would move into the new building, along with such programs as Livestrong and other wellness classes, such as diabetes management.
"We have outgrown the space" in the 10,000-square foot health enhancement center. "We've been doing surveys, asking our members what we're not doing now."
