Friday is Veterans Day, a federal holiday honoring all U.S. military veterans who have served the country.
The Huntington and South Huntington School Districts are closed and all federal, state and local government offices are closed, including the Department of Motor Vehicles and the county courts.
There is no delivery. Trash pickup scheduled for Friday is unaffected. The Long Island Rail Road is operating on a normal schedule on Veterans Day.
