Have Fun Forging the Castle
Town's sandcastle contest set for Thursday at Crab Meadow Beach.
Residents are invited to bring their buckets, their shovels and their artistic talents to the second annual Huntington sandcastle contest Thursday at Crab Meadow Beach.
The contest is open to Huntington residents in two categories: ages 16 and under and ages 17 to adult. Register here for the contest.
Gates open for contest participants at 4 p.m.; judging begins at 7 p.m. The contest will be canceled if it rains.
Contestants can add materials to their designs but are encouraged to build environmentally friendly castles.
The event is free of charge for participants or those attending the contest. No beach permits are required.
Two winners will receive gift certificates to LaCasa Cafe.
