Feb. 20: President’s Day Closings; Sports

5 things you need to know today.

1. President's Day: Local and state offices will be closed on Monday in honor of President's Day, including Town Hall, post offices and public schools in Huntington and South Huntington. Public libraries will be open.

2. Huntington Militia Meeting: The Order of the Ancient and Honorable Huntington Militia meets from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at 425 Park Avenue in Huntington. Open to all.

3. High School Sports: Girls basketball: St. Anthony's at St. Dominic's at 5:45 p.m.

4. Beginner English Classes: A native English-speaking instructor helps new English speakers practice and improve in a casual and fun environment. Attend as many sessions as you like. Registration required. Open to all at the Station Branch of the Huntington Public Library at 6 p.m. Details

I would love to become part of the Huntington Chamber of Commerce. However, for a new business itRead More is costly and may not fit into every new business owners budget. May I suggest a provisional 1-year membership at a reduced cost. Once successful the provisional members can give back by supporting other new members.
