Moonjumpers, Black & Blue Seafood and Chophouse team up for charitable event.

After an active start, a new Huntington non-profit organization will continue its charitable mission Thursday.

The Moonjumpers Charitable Foundation is joining with on Wall Street in Huntington village Thursday for a used coat drive to coincide with a concert by Peter Mazzeo & The Hit Squad from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

After kicking off its inaugural event recently at Napper Tandy’s Irish Pub in Northport, Moonjumpers donated $3,500 to the Family Service League and Tri-Community and Youth Agency Nov. 29 for the Project T.O.Y. (Treasures Our Youth) initiative to help parents of struggling families with two new unwrapped gifts for children.

A Moonjumpers Halloween food drive event at Nicky's of Centerport produced 300 pounds of food and $350 in cash contributions which was donated to The Refuge pantry in East Northport.

The restauraunt will donate a portion of receipts from the Thursday's free event to Moonjumpers for its charitable projects to support initiatives designed to improve the quality of life of children and families along with injured war veterans and others in need, according to a press release.
