Cancer Survivors Invited to Reception

Huntington High School Relay for Life to host event May 17.

Cancer survivors are invited to a reception at Huntington High School's Relay for Life on May 17.

The American Cancer Society said the reception will feature music and foods from restaurants throughout Huntington. The reception, free to all survivors and a guest, starts at 5:30 p.m. After the opening ceremony at 6:30 p.m., survivors are invited to participate in a lap, and will be awarded shirts.

The American Cancer Society considers anyone who has ever heard the words "you have cancer" to be a survivor.
