An Afternoon Take on National Night Out
Huntington Station groups turn out at Manor Field.
Community groups came together Tuesday afternoon for National Night Out in Huntington Station.
The event, held nationwide, is meant to allow residents to reclaim their community and eliminate crime. The national organization said that more 37 million people and 15,000 communities from all 50 states participate each year.
The Huntington Station gathering, at Manor Field, drew members of the Town Council, Suffolk County Second Precinct representatives, Source the Station, the Huntington Station Business Improvement District, Chamber of Commerce, the Dolan Health Center and others.
Kids munched on hotdogs, played on a slide or listened to music.
