Watch out for deer in town!

I have lived in Huntington for 17 years and never saw a deer until I hit one a few blocks from my home on Southdown Road last weekend. The deer was a large male with antlers. He unfortunately died as a result of the accident. My car was severely damaged, but I was amazingly not hurt. Since then I have heard stories that there have been other accidents, one by Tanyard Lane near Southdown Road. I saw two deer yesterday across the street from my house. I don't know why there are suddenly so many deer around here! Just want to alert anyone who drives in the neighborhood to slow down, especially at night.
