THETA IOTA OMEGA DONATES SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR CHILDREN IN NEED

EAC Network received a very generous donation of brand new backpacks and various school supplies from “Theta Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.” The sorority’s donations were given for children in a variety of EAC Network programs. Some of the boys and girls live in foster homes and group homes, while others have families on public assistance or may have a parent who has been incarcerated, or battling substance abuse.

Theta Iota Omega continues to give back to the communities of Suffolk and Nassau counties. “There are many children right here on Long Island going to school without the basic school essentials. It is imperative that we give our children the necessary tools for success so they can accomplish their goals and reach their full potential,” said Kiona DeWitt, First Vice President of Theta Iota Omega.  The supplies will be distributed to families within EAC Network programs on Long Island and the New York metro area.
