During the weekend of Dec 14-16, members from St. Anthony's Student Council and National Honor Society spent much of the weekend preparing food for a local soup kitchen in Huntington Station.
Directed by Bro. Joshua DiMauro, OSF, Director of Student Activities, and assisted by Bro. Richard Contino, OSF, Chairman of the Theology Department, students spent Friday afternoon in the school's kitchen, preparing an Italian feast - complete with hundreds of meatballs!
Then on Sunday afternoon they traveled to St. Hugh of Lincoln Parish where they organized and served their food to those in need of a good, hot meal during these cold winter evenings. St. Anthony's students are always willing to lend a hand and remember those who are less fortunate. Sometimes the best lessons happen outside the classroom!
