If you can get to the Board of Elections this weekend, it is not too late to vote absentee

The deadline for sending  applications for absentee ballots and voting by mail is over, but  in an effort to enfranchise voters who have missed the deadlines and will not be able to get to the polls to vote Election Day,  the Suffolk County Board of Elections is open today Sat. until 9 p.m., tomorrow Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Monday from 9 a.m. until 7p.m.  All those wanting an absentee ballot can go to the Suffolk Board of Elections on Yaphank Ave and vote immediately in person.  Voters with questions can call the BOE at 631 852 4500 or the LWV of Huntington at 631 421-5164.   You may have lost power to your home but don't lose the power of your vote.
