My Own Parable

Hello to all of my Patch Friends,

     I recently attended a class in Atlanta on Biblical Parables.  Telling parables, which are in essence stories, was the primary way that Jesus taught.  Examples include the Good Samaritan, The Parable of the Sower, and the Mustard Seed.  One of my assignments was to write my own parable.  I thought you all would find it interesting so it is below.  I would love for you to let me know by your comments what you think it means.  Here it is.....

     There was a couple from a wealthy city invited out to a church camp in the country.  The man went to the bank, took out some money, got in his new BMW with his wife, and drove an hour to the camp.  When they got out there, disparaging remarks were made about the camp and about the possibility of eating supper there. The couple and folks from the camp decided that they wanted to go for a swim.  So, they walked to the pool and swam for about an hour.  After getting out of the pool, and getting back to the house, the couple discovered that the money was gone.  They embarked on a frantic search covering all of the camp and the pool.  After searching all over the camp until it was beginning to get dark, they found the money, went back to the house rejoicing over their forty dollars, and looking forward to having dinner out.Upon arriving at the dining hall to say farewell to their friends, they discovered a great feast had taken place while they were searching for the money.  Sausage, hamburgers, steak, hot dogs overflowed as did rice, fruit salad, and asparagus.  People from the north, south, east, and west of the world had been there and there were reports that there was more food at the end then the start. So the couple left the camp to go out to eat.  However everything was closed except McDonalds where they eat with much weeping and gnashing of teeth.
