Politics, More Politics and a Job Fair

Good morning, Huntington.  There's no shortage of ways to be entertained, informed, become engaged in politics or possibly hired into a new job.
Job Fair at Whitman Mall
 A job fair is set for Wednesday at Walt Whitman Shops, with more than 25 mall employers  looking to hire hundreds of workers. The fair runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.  

Rally at Town Hall
A rally against candidate Gene Cook, for his comment about bringing a gun to Town Hall.  Former Suffolk County 17th District Legislator  Jane Devine, who witnessed  a 1979 hostage situation at Huntington Town Hall, will be joined by dozens of mothers, teachers and local gun control advocates to demand that Cook drop out of the race for town supervisor. That's scheduled for the steps of Town Hall at 1 p.m.

Candidates Night
At 7 p.m., civic organizations are holding a candidates night session at Elwood Middle School. Candidates for town offices, plus county legislative seats, have been invited to participate. Sponsors include Greater Huntington Civic Group, Inc. and the Elwood Taxpayers Association.

Half Hollow Hills High School East will host Rex the Bionic Man and his inventor, Rich Walker, managing director of Shadow Robot

Medical Equipment Expo
The Henry Schein company is putting on an education and medical equipment expo and seminars at the Melville Marriott, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
