FOUR MONTHS?????? Why on earth would it take 4 months? It is criminal how Petrone and gang areRead MoreR UINING Huntington! We do not have ONE person on the Town Board that lives in HUNTINGTON VILLAGE AND SCHOOL DISTRICT #3. We need representation! I will vote for whoever represents HUNTINGTON VILLAGE! How do these people on the town board get to make such decisions when they do NOT live here????

ONLY $201K Awarded to repair and help preserve Caumsett Park - one of the last remaining jewels ofRead Moret he Gold Coast still standing right here in Huntington, YET almost $1.9 Million doled out for a Parking Lot, coupled with environmental destruction to gain 10 spaces! Local businesses (some already struggling to stay afloat), now in dire straits thanks to the Town Board's poor planning, schedule coordination, miscommunication and improper advance notice! Not to mention, ridiculous Parking Meter Price Hikes which will only chase away customers, as the Town Board decided it wants to squeeze every last red cent it can out of shoppers. Why not a moratorium on parking meters until this project is over?? It's all beginning to sound like a miniature version of Mitt Romney's Bain approach and vulture capitalism to profitize America which subsequently destroyed the companies he took over! There should be a Watchdog group of local people to oversee what’s going on, so there's no more surprises! You can NOT depend on the Town spokesmen for the TRUTH for what's really going on! All he does is a little dance around the maypole to patronize. Look forward to a repeat performance in October which probably will run into Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays at this rate. Suppose they will ax the remaining trees that are left on the other end too, if more is not said!

The situation? The deer were here long before we were. We came to LI, overpopulated andRead Moreoverdevelo ped all over LI, resulting in loss of land and habitat. Over time they adjusted to their newer surroundings and are still doing so, moving west to east now. We have to learn to live with them just as they have learned to live with us. Drive safe at dawn and dusk when the deer are most active. Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see some coyotes in the next 2-3 years, they follow the deer.
