When it comes to team apparel shopping, Jets fans beat Giants fans in Huntington, according to one Kmart manager. 

During an AFC championship game run last year, Jets fans turned out in big numbers, according to Dawn Fabb, a clothing manager at the Huntington store.

Fabb, who has worked at the store for about three years, said she hasn't seen as many Giants fans this season during their team's Super Bowl season and recent overtime win over the San Franciso 49ers in the NFC Champonship game.

"When the Jets went to the playoffs, people were scrambling in here and buying anything with Jets on it," said Fabb. "When the Giants won, it wasn't quit as fanatical."

A non-football fan from Commack, Fabb said business usually spikes when any New York team that makes does well, but she expected more Giants fans to show than what she's seen so far this week.

But with new merchandise onits way, more Giants fans are expected before the Super Bowl set for Feb. 5 in Indiannapolis.

Two dozen Giants championship hats arrived Tuesday, with more merchandise expected to arrive from the corporate office in the coming days, according to Fabb.

"When it gets here, we'll put it out," said Fabb.

Jets fans outnumber Giants fans working at the store, according to Fabb — but not all agree her assessment.

George Spicer, a Kmart greeter at in Huntigton for nearly eight years says Huntington he thinks the split is about even.

"I think it's equal," he said. "I think that people are generally split between both teams."
