Sister of Nick Carter Found Dead; Feb. 7 Paramount Concert Still On
Theater representative says show has not been cancelled as of Wednesday.
The Nick Carter concert set for Feb. 7 at the Paramount Theater is still a go — despite the news of the passing of the singer's sister on Tuesday.
A representative from the Paramount Theater confirmed to Patch the show has not been cancelled as of Wednesday afternoon.
The show is listed on the theater's website.
Leslie Carter, the 25-year-old sister of Backstreet Boys stars Nick and Aaron died in upstate New York. The cause of death is unknown.
Nick said the upcoming Backstreet Boys tour will be dedicated to his sister.
"Nick is thankful to the many people and the fans who have shared their wishes and prayers during this tragic time. We want to let the fans know the tour will go on as promised," said Carter's publicist in a Daily Mail published report.
Nick's brother Aaron, currently starring in the off-Broadway production of "The Fantasticks," will be temporarily leaving his performing duties to his understudy while he mourns the sudden and so far unexplained loss of his sister, according to eonline.com.
