Question: The Gene Cook Factor
How much will the addition of Gene Cook change the Town Board, if at all?
With incumbent Democrat Susan Berland winning reelection and Republican nominee and Independence Party member Gene Cook replacing Democrat Glenda Jackson on the Town Board, slightly more balance has been voted in at Town Hall.
Cook will join Republican Mark Mayoka and Democrats Mark Cuthbertson and Suoervisor Frank Petrone on the 5-member board.
Question: How will the addition of Cook change the decions coming from Town Hall, if at all? Let us know in the comments.

Only time will tell. Quite honestly I know nothing about him. It didn't appear as though there were any issues that he stood for and if there were I along with many people sure didn't know what they were. Don't know where his passions are? We will see. Hopefully he is not there to just say NO to everything.

My goodness can we give the guy a chance? How much did any of you know about Glenda Jackson when she was elected? I would say not much. I knew her quite well because her daughter was in many of my daughters classes in school! Yes Glenda might have done something but obviously from the numbers, not enough and that is why she has been voted out. The town needs fresh ideas and real people! I am glad Cook is not a career politican, we definitly have too many of those already!

Cook and Mayoka will get a chance to clean up the Town Hall mess when Cuthbertson leaves for the County and they elect a like-minded Republican. It's no secret that Cuthbertson worked overtime for his buddy Bellone so he could have a landing spot at the County.

What does this mean "a like-minded Republican"? Could you please clarify what the agenda is that Cook and Mayoka both have?

Mr. Desmond, your abusive comments are even offensive to lifelong Republicans, like me. Please keep your broad-brush insults, like "liberal Democratic thugs," to yourself.
