NWS Issues Warning; Overnight Storm Coming
Track of slow-moving southern storm will determine snowfall amounts. Up to 6 inches now possible.
The National Weather Service has issued a "Hazardous Weather" warning, saying a storm Friday night into Saturday could bring up to 6 inches of snow.
The NWS says the storm should begin before midnight as rain and turn over to snow. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent. The snow should continue through the morning Saturday, leaving 1-3 inches of accumulation or even more if the storm stalls over Long Island.
The low pressure sytem is developing along the Southern and Atlantic Coast and moving northward. The weather warning is for the entire metropolitan area, including western Long Island.
Saturday's high temperatures should be above freezing with a north wind blowing between 6 and 14 mph. Snow showers are also possible Saturday night.
Saturday driving, particularly earlier in the day, could be hazardous, experts warn.
Sunday should be blustery and cold; A gradual warming trend is forecast for the coming week.

Got a whopping 1/8" of snow...maybe 1/16".
And melted completely as soon as the snow stopped.
