Applebee’s announced Monday its Breakfast with Santa program in Huntington generated $6,300 this past holiday season as part of a record-breaking year in Long Island for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys For Tots program.

All proceeds from the event were donated to the USMC program which provides thousands of needy children with a joyful holiday. The dollars raised in each community directly benefit that local community, according to Applebee's representatives.

In Suffolk County, nearly $100,000 was raised, according to the company. 

For 13 years, Applebee's has contributed more than $2.7 millionn to the Toys For Tots event nationally. Neighborhood Applebee’s in Long Island contributed $322,500 in 2011.
