Going Viral: Dance Video by Whitman Students

'Pop Culture' dance video set to the popular Madeon song attracting big hits online.

A dance video performed and directed by Whitman High School students is getting some major trafic online and was one of the most watched videos over the past weekend, according to trendhunter.com

The video has reached the level of "hot and viral" with more than 132,000 views.

Directed by Hassam Kaif and taped at for the school's Video Yearbook Club, the clip features Jackson Thomas Hoffmann as the main dancer along with Alyssa Scudieri as the female dancer. The clip is introduced by Evan Zakow. All students are seniors.

"Video Yearbook is run by the Whitman students and each year produces amazingly professional results," said Steve Bartholomew, the information officer for the South Hunington School District. "The program administrator is Roger Paquette, a social studies teacher at the school."

Project production began Nov. 4 of last year and was finalized May 2, according to You Tube.

Momversation.com calls it "the best video yearbook entry ever."

Madeon, 17, from France, uploaded a YouTube video called 'Pop Culture' which garnered more than 11 million views and inspired another viral video by Nathan J. Barnatt co-starring Martin Starr, according to Momversation.com.

The Whitman video was made as a tribute to Barnatt, according to You Tube.
