Huntington Man Arrested For Attempted Burglary Of Drug Dealer's Home
Police say Joshua Whitfield and another man plotted to rob alleged heroin dealer's home in Farmingville.
Two men plotting to invade an alleged heroin dealer's home in Farmingville were arrested Tuesday, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota. The dealer, a Farmingville man, was also arrested.
Lonnie Walker, 29, of Farmingville, was charged with fourth degree possession of a controlled substance (heroin), according to Spota. It was his home that was going to be invaded prior to the arrests of Joshua A. Whitfield, 26, of Huntington and Seyquan Patron, 24, of Mastic Beach.
According to the district attorney’s office, law enforcement believes Patron is a member of the Bloods street gang. Whitfield and Patron face attempted burglary and weapons charges and are being held at the Suffolk County jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond.
Spota had video surveillance of one of the would-be home invaders shopping for a pair of gloves in preparation for the burglary, both men - recorded on a camera hidden in the dashboard - traveling to the target’s house and the police takedown of the home invasion crew.
Detectives found 140 decks of heroin during a search of Walker’s condo and a Taurus .357 Magnum revolver recovered from the vehicle transporting Whitfield and Patron to the planned home invasion, Spota said.

If you look at the video this place close;y resembles the Avalon Bay pictures I have seen. "And at the apartment complex, which the alleged drug dealer calls home, many people live very close together." I cannot support these developments.

Yeah Kim. It has a roof, windows & sides, and blacktop roads. How coincidental. Many people living close together. Would that mean the VA Hospital, or all Condominiums have to go? Get real, fraidicat.

Once again, people leaving comments that make ZERO sense in relating to the article written above. Push your agendas and beliefs somewhere else.

No, I understand what you are saying Kim, they own a condo in a large development that obviously have no respect for others in their community. If this went down, and thank goodness it didn't, innocent people could have gotten hurt since they live so close to each other. Developments this large should require to be a gated community. Drugs and guns is serious business of danger. Heroin is a huge problem on Long Island and hope this leads to more arrests.

Yea he lived right by you and you never noticed. You no why because he didn't bother you. You should be more worried about the people with weapons that are causing real problems. Remember no one forces anyone to do drugs if you have a problem don't do them.
