Attempted Armed Robbery at Huntington Station Check Cashing Store
Two Hispanic men demand money at RIA check cashing Sunday; cashier refuses demands.
An attempted armed robbery occurred Sunday at the RIA check cashing store in Huntington Station.
Police say the suspects, both Hispanic and one armed with a handgun, entered the store at 1357 New York Ave. and demanded cash. The teller, behind bullet proof glass, did not comply with the suspects who then fled south on New York Avenue, according to police.
The two Hispanic men are described as being between five to five feet three inches tall, slim to medium builds, both in their 20's, according to police.

A Huntingon Station man died after being shot in the head at a Huntington Station deli Saturday.

How stupid can a person be? Robbing a guy who is so obviously behind bullet proof glass. Too stupid for a real job, and defiantly too stupid for a life of crime. I wonder if this is connected to the jewelry store robbery a few weeks back...
